Shelter Cove Sculptural Works Featured by MB Abram

I am thrilled to share that MB Abram is currently featuring my monumental Shelter Cove glass sculptural works.

Installed in the heart of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, this trio of 5-foot-tall, 250-pound curved glass panels sits directly amidst the ocean, marsh, and maritime forest ecosystems that inspired them.

A Portrait of the Island

Together, the three works capture the scenery, biodiversity, and spirit of Hilton Head Island across its primary environments:

• Maritime Forest (2025): Honors the island’s inland wilds, highlighting magnolias, loblolly pines, live oaks, Spanish moss, saw palmettos, owls, and hawks.
• Marsh (2025): Serves as a glowing tribute to one of the planet's most productive ecosystems, suspending ghost crabs, fiddler crabs, oysters, periwinkles, ibis, herons, and spartina grass in layered tidal compositions.
• Ocean (2025): Draws from nautical charts and bathymetric maps to celebrate life beneath the waves, bringing together iconic and overlooked creatures like loggerhead turtles, redfish, blue crabs, sea lettuce, diatoms, and jellyfish.
